from the holy land- it is a perennial corm plant with heart shaped leaves. In order to

plant the corms, we should keep the concave part facing up and the convex part

facing down. We can see the first signs for the germination in the concave part.

The older the plant is, the more flowers it has. It was named "the country flower" for

a reason. Its spread beauty and fragrance are known to all and it can live more

then 150 years. So far, we found 5.5 kg and 35 cm diameter plants. It has more then

250 flowers. It produces from seeds only and uses special techniques to draw the

 ants and use them to spread the seeds.

Blossom season- November- April. It is common in the shade, scrubland, cliffs and

grove areas.It is common in the Mediterranean areas and grows in the north and

center parts of Israel.
